Iraqi Style Quran Recitation Contest Planned
TEHRAN (IQNA) – The National Quranic Sciences Center in Iraq plans to organize a competition on Iraqi style recitation of the Holy Quran.
The center, which is affiliated to the Shia Awqaf Department, will hold the contest online.
Registration has already started and will continue until July 15, according to the center’s director, Rafi al-Ameri.
He said the center is going to announce a number of other online Quranic programs in the near future.
It is also going to offer Quranic courses via the internet and social media, he added.
Since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic and restrictions imposed to prevent the spread of the disease, many Quranic programs have gone online in different countries.
